Dr.
Lisa Corbin received her medical degree with honors and distinction
from
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a member
of AOA
Honor Medical Society. She completed her Internal Medicine
residency at
the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (UCHSC) and is board
certified in Internal Medicine. After serving as a Chief Medical
Resident, she
joined the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (UCHSC)
faculty based
at HealthONE Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Hospital where she taught Internal
Medicine
residents and students and saw internal medicine patients until
becoming the Medical Director of The Center for Integrative Medicine
(TCIM) at its
inception in September 2001.
Dr. Corbin also serves as the President of
AlterMed Research Foundation Board.
Dr. Corbin’s current clinical, educational, and
research focus on complementary / alternative medicine (CAM) was sparked by a
desire to answer her patients’ questions about CAM therapies. She served
on the steering committee for the creation of TCIM at the University of
Colorado Hospital. Dr. Corbin counsels patients interested in CAM,
provides course direction for the CAM electives offered to Internal Medicine
residents and students, lectures on herbal medicine in the School of Medicine,
enjoys speaking to physician and patient groups, and is involved in campus CAM
research. She has published original research, scholarly reviews, CME materials
and book chapters on this subject.

Dr. Davidson
received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in Psychology and has been at
Wisconsin since 1984. He has published more than 250 articles, many chapters
and reviews and edited 13 books. He has been a member of the Mind and Life
Institute’s Board of Directors since 1991. He is the recipient of numerous
awards for his research including a National Institute of Mental Health
Research Scientist Award, a MERIT Award from NIMH, an Established Investigator
Award from the National Alliance for Research in Schizophrenia and Affective
Disorders (NARSAD), a Distinguished Investigator Award from NARSAD, the William
James Fellow Award from the American Psychological Society, and the Hilldale
Award from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was the Founding Co-Editor
of the new American Psychological Association journal EMOTION and is
Past-President of the Society for Research in Psychopathology and of the
Society for Psychophysiological Research. He was the year 2000 recipient of the
most distinguished award for science given by the American Psychological Association
–the Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award. In 2003 he was elected to the
American Academy of Arts and Sciences and in 2004 he was elected to the
Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters. He was named one of the 100
most influential people in the world by Time Magazine in 2006. In 2006 he was
also awarded the first Mani Bhaumik Award by UCLA for advancing the
understanding of the brain and conscious mind in healing. Madison Magazine
named him Person of the Year in 2007.

Dr.
Dimidjian received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of
Washington in 2005. She joined the faculty in the Department of
Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2006.
In addition to her affiliations with University of Colorado at Boulder and
University of Colorado School of Medicine, she is also an Affiliate
Investigator at the Institute for Health Research, Kaiser Permanente Colorado.
Her research addresses the treatment and prevention of depression, with a
particular focus on the mental health of women during pregnancy and postpartum.
She is a leading expert in cognitive and behavioral approaches to depression as
well as the clinical application of contemplative practices, such as
mindfulness meditation, compassion meditation, and yoga. Current projects
supported by the NIMH and private foundations in her lab focus on the
development of novel preventive interventions with at risk pregnant women, the
extension of evidence based psychotherapies to depressed pregnant women, and
the dissemination of evidence based psychotherapy via online methods of
training clinicians and service delivery.

Dr. Emmons is a psychiatrist who
integrates mind-body and natural therapies, mindfulness and Buddhist teachings,
and compassion and insight into his clinical work. Henry developed the
Resilience Training Program, which is currently offered at the Penny George
Institute for Health and Healing. This unique program is based upon the ideas
developed in his books, The Chemistry of Joy and The Chemistry of
Calm. His career has been animated
by the desire to develop more integrative approaches for the treatment of
depression and anxiety. Henry is a sought-after presenter and a respected
consultant on such topics as integrating natural and mindfulness therapies in
psychiatry, building personal resilience, and personal and professional
renewal. In addition to Resilience
Training, Henry has developed “A Year of Living Mindfully” and “The Inner
Life of Healers: Programs of Renewal for Health
Professionals” offered through the University of Minnesota’s Center
for Spirituality and Healing. He is also

Kanniganti, MD, MSPH is a board certified family physician. After
attending medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
she traveled to Brindavan, India where she underwent training in the
principles of Ayurvedic Medicine with Dr. Liladhar Gupta. She was deeply
inspired to integrate these principles into her own life, and subsequently into
her clinical practice as a western biomedical doctor. She is also

Dr. Katz is an
internationally renowned authority on nutrition, weight management, and the
prevention of chronic disease, and an internationally recognized leader in
integrative medicine and patient-centered care. He is a board certified

and in addition to his affiliations with Yale University School of Medicine, Dr
Katz is also Director and Founder of the Integrative Medicine Center at
Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT; Founder and President of the non-profit Turn

Public Health at the Yale School of Medicine for eight years. Katz has

Dr. Daniel
Friedland is a thought leader, keynote speaker, educator and consultant in

Steven Rondeau currently practices in Fort Collins, Colorado as part of

pediatrics in Utah before settling in northern Colorado. His

Dr. Wamboldt received her Medical Degree
from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where she also did her internship
and residency training. Her fellowship
training was with the National Institute of Mental Health in research and with
the University of Colorado in child psychiatry. She is Board certified in
general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. She is also an examiner for the American
Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She was the recipient of an NIMH Career
Development Award to study the genetic and social determinants of child and
adolescent health behaviors, has received several awards and honors in her
field of study, and has authored over 60 medical publications. Although a
practicing yogini for decades, Dr. Wamboldt became a Registered Yoga Teacher in
2008, receiving her training from the Prana Yoga & Ayurveda Mandala, Denver, CO.
Dr. Wamboldt has always been interested in
the mind/body interface, and the reciprocal effects of mental and physical
illnesses in children and adolescents.
One of her interests in working at The Children’s Hospital is to expand
integrative mental health services to all of the patients in the hospital. She has helped to develop multi-family groups
to help children and their parents better cope with the stresses of chronic
illness, the use of alternative therapies such as Yoga and creative arts, and
the development of collaborative mental health and medical treatment teams for
children. Her current research focuses
on yoga as an intervention for adolescents with chronic pain, as well as on
better delineation of relationship problems.
