A native of the Pacific Northwest, Amanda Evrard received her BA in public relations from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication in 2006. She fell in love with nonprofits early on and received her MS in nonprofit management from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.

Evrard has worked with charities that provide early intervention services to families, job placement for the disabled, extracurricular activities for teens, companion animal adoptions, and ethics education. Most recently, she was the marketing coordinator of the Center for Medical Humanities & Ethics at The UT Health Science Center San Antonio, and she also serves as the development director for NOWCastSA.

She is an animal lover and proud owner of three rescue dogs. She and her partner Tim also foster dogs and cats in their Fort Collins, Colo. home with Animal House Rescue and Fort Collins Cat Rescue.
