Tim Byers, MD, MPH

Dr. Byers is a Professor of Epidemiology and Associate Dean at the Colorado School of Public Health.  He has previously served as the Deputy Director and Interim Director of the University of Colorado Comprehensive Cancer Center, where he is now the Associate Director for Cancer Prevention and Control.  He is also the Director of the Center for Public Health Practice at the Colorado School of Public Health, where he is developing training and programs to improve the effectiveness of public health systems. He is an expert in the role of early detection, diet, and nutrition in the prevention of cancer, having published over 350 papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
