About the Funding Process  

AlterMed Research Foundation - Complementary and Alternative Medicine CAM (or Integrative Medicine) Research and Education               

AlterMed is pleased to announce a Mind-Body Medicine research grant for world-wide applicants working for non-profit institutions. This grant will be awarded once we find a research project meeting our requirements.  Apply at your earliest convenience.   Our funding announcement /application is available in word or pdf.                                             

• AlterMed funds world-renowned, well-qualified researchers at universities and hospitals to do rigorous integrative medicine research in the areas of our donors' interest plus AlterMed's focused areas.
• Application and funding approval cycle - see current announcement. 
• Research proposals are reviewed by advisors which are experts in the field of research interest. 
• AlterMed also funds evidence-based integrative medicine conferences hosted and/or sponsored by AlterMed.
  

Funded Research and Education Characteristics

• Research to meet highest regulatory & scientific standard using statistically significant double-blind, randomized controlled methods.
• Research progress will be regularly monitored and reported by researchers.
• Research is repeatable.
• Results will be peer reviewed and published in prestigious medical journals by the researchers whenever possible.
• Funded integrative medicine conferences are evidence-based meeting Continuous Medical Education accreditation criteria.
